Did You Ever Cry

Did you ever cry when you heard a lullaby
Saw a twinkling star, or touched a butterfly?
These thins we take for granted, they really are all here
A bird flies high, the sun shines warm
And a small childs fear

A song to sing, a flower to smell
A flag to make you proud
These things we take for granted
So are the fields they've plowed

Nothing is to great or small
To high or to low to see
These things we take for granted
Are for everyone to see

So when they asked, "Did you ever cry?"
I answer reluctantly
These things I take for granted
And I am ashamed of me
