| If Dreams Could Only Come True If dreams could only come true I would dream of becoming a king and would be loved by all my people. I would be kind and generous and make sure everyone had a home and would not want for food. The children would be happy and healthy and would help each other to get things done by working together. They would be greatly loved by their parents and friends and would be well taken care of. I would hold a contest one day a year and the winner would be granted a wish. The contest would be about what dreams would be most important to them. A little girl said she would like to become Cinderella to find a prince and ride in a pumpking carriage to live happly ever after. A boy said he would like to be Huckel Berry Finn and live all his wonderful adventures. Cora said she dreamed every nicht that she was a mermaid. She loved the sea and all the wonderful creatures there. She wanted to ride a seahorse and go visit King Neptune. She wanted to be his friend. She also wanted to find buried treasure from sunken ships and put them in a museum for everyone to see and enjoy. She wanted to save fish from fishing lines so they couldn't be caught and hurt. She wanted to guide schools of fish from danger. She wanted to be there to protect people from drowning and to return them to their loved ones. This would be a very good wish to help so many creatures of the sea and people. A boy named Kellen has loved dinosours since he was a toddler. He knows the names of all of them and can tell you where they lived, what they ate, and where they had to travel to stay alive. He has many toy dinosours and said he wished he could ride on one and let it take him to some of the places it had traveled before. Chloe is a sweet little girl who likes shiny and beautiful things. She said her wish would be to have a yard full of bushes, trees, and plants. Instead of growing flowers they would bloom precious gemstones. In place of red roses she wanted ruby gems on some bushes and yellow topaz gems on another. In place of garden flowers she wanted turquoise, blue topaz, garnet, amethyist and emerald gems with pearls sprinkeled in between them.The trees would be full of all the gems mixed together. she also wanted bushes full of diamonds all sizes and shapes. She often thought about making tiarias for all the girls for birthdays and other special occasions. And then there's James. James wanted enough money to buy books in science and mathematics. He loves both. He's very good but wants to be the best. Hopefully some day we will hear about him making history in science or math. Cassidy is very good at everything she does. She playes tee-ball, takes dancing lessons, plays soccer, and is always looking for something new to do. She reads and does other school activities very well. She loves to spend time with adults and take charge of those younger than her. It's her wish to beocme a teacher someday. I think any king would have a hard choice to make as to who the winner should be. I find it very hard. Yes, if dreams could only come true. Who would you choose? |
